A little too simple...

I played the Mongoose Babylon 5 space fleet action game: Babylon 5- A Call To Arms- 2nd edition for about a year. On the plus side, it is simple. On the negative side, it is simple; That being said, I think the simplicity is far more of a negative than a positive overall. A big ship can be crippled just as easy as a small ship which isn't good in my opinion. Also, the initiative system and Fleet Allocation Point (FAP) system is too biased in favor of large sized fleets (and smaller ships). I believe an official supplement: Powers and Principalities, came out recently which supposedly fixed some of the broken aspects of the game but I'm not sure if it addressed any of the problems with the basic game mechanics.

Book in lousy shape

The overall format and contents of the book are excellent and what was expected. However the book arrived in poor condition. The last 20 pages or so were detached from the binding and pages are falling out. There are also dents in the edge of the front cover. This is very disappointing and frankly I overpaid for the book, even with the discount on the normal price.

Needs color

First off, an excellent book in all regards. An excellent buy for $20 (the price it was when I purchased).
There is one downside: the ships need to be in color. Next to each entry, there is a black and white image of the miniature ship--however, depending on the paint job, it is hard to make out some of them.
