Bravo! Love the direct, no holds barred approach for those seeking advanced consciousness.

I love this series on consciousness! Unique viewpoints, no holds barred, straight talk. I can't stand people who sugar coat and lie, saying what the masses want to hear, or what will sell books. I found this series of books (I'm on book 5 now) refreshing, a little intimidating from the information provided, but still encouraging me onward for my journey to seeking further consciousness. I've used the methods described in the books for self growth and healing, and have already had noticeable changes in my life. I can relate to so much of what the author says on so many levels. I've been seeking truth and answers for most of my life and will never stop seeking to better myself. Religion never worked for me growing up as a child, but rather it created dissonance in me, created problems for me to solve, it never resonated with me making me feel like an outsider and sending me off as an adult in search of answers to all my questions that religion couldn't/didn't answer. These books have helped fill in some of the blanks. I resonate with what the author says... that the true spiritual path to expanded consciousness is difficult and not for the ego-driven majority. Bravo to the author. I'm so grateful for his/her words (author is anonymous).

The truth about Islam.

This book contains many hard-hitting historical facts about the "religion of peace". However, it's not just information. The author also tries to show how Christianity is better than Islam by offering several comparisons. The preaching doesn't detract from the message, but it can be distracting sometimes (hence, the -1 star).

Among the interesting items in the book:
- one of Muhammad's wives was 6 when he married her and 9 when he consummated the marriage.
- most of the historical Biblical stories related in the Koran are factually incorrect.
- Muslims are forbidden from having Jewish or Christian friends.
- Jihad is the second most important duty of every Muslim.
- only 5% of all slaves involved in the slave trade were sold in the United States.
- half of all children born today in Belgium are Muslim.
- there may be as many as 25,000 Al-Qaeda supporters in the UK.
- Muslims comprise 4% of the population in Denmark, but consume 40% of the welfare spending.
- 75% of the convicted rapists in Denmark are Muslim.
- Muslims comprise 95% of the convicted rapists and 85% of the convicted murderers in France and Italy.
- the average European woman has 1.5 children, the average Muslim woman living in Europe has 7 children.
- non-Muslims have virtually no rights in Muslim countries.

The cover and pages will definitely standup to the rigors of a resident's white coat pocket. This book is a must have for anyone doing OB/GYN either as a nursing student, medical student, resident, or practicing physician. I am currently a family physician and find the gynecology section indispensable in my daily practice. I wish I had this book while I was in residency. Congratulations to Dr. Zheng for writing such a wonderful book.

This book is awesome. If your looking for a great reference book or quick look-up, this is the book. It is a very easy read, yet completely detailed for everything and anything you need to know about OBGYN. I would recommend this book to anyone in medicine from med students, to nurses, to doctors. This book was not only helpful on the labor and delivery floor but also at the clinic. You name it, this book has it!! Best OBGYN book ever!!!!

A must have for Medical Students and OB/GYNs!!

I'm a fourth year medical student about to start my residency in OB/GYN. I always carry this book with me! The section of dictations and note templates is a huge help while I'm starting out. This book really has a great overview of what you see in an OB/GYN practice. I not only will use this daily in the clinics and on the labor & delivery floor but it will also be a great resource for board preparation. You won't regret buying this amazing book!

Mani's many facets of his cinematic mind, his choices, execution and thought process behind his character's decisions! Pure joy!

I am a proud byproduct of Maniratnam era of cinema. In a country of compliance, his characters were truly rebellious against the existing norms without the over dramatic heroism. The sense of common man realism combined with their innate rebellion against the societal norms and traditions has created our generation(ones who grew up in 80's and 90's) who is now paving the way for the next one. The format of this book was easy to digest and Mani does seem to be a master of justification about his characters decisions. It helps the true fan of cinema to watch his movies with fresh perspectives. While his editing decisions worked perfectly during the much-restricted, per-liberalized India, they seem to be way off the mark in his recent movies. If at all there is a Director whose movies need a Director's cut, it is Maniratnam. I think there needs to be a simple, uncomplicated, clean arch stories like Alaipaayuthe, Anjali, Mouna Raagam for the masses and a special director's cut for movies like Yuva(Why,why,why would Lallan not return back?) and Raavanan(so badly wish those ten characters were talking to him,making it easy for the viewer to understand his eccentricities). This book is a great journey into Mani's thinking, execution and choices he makes on his movies. A must for any movie fan to understand one of the world's greatest directors from India!

Excellent Book

An excellent book providing insights into the Mani Ratnam way of making movies. Baradwaj Rangan manages to ask the right questions most of the times. At times Mani Ratnam seems to dead bat criticism and defends creative decisions, mostly when Rangan questions whether the quality of characters mirror reality. The best parts of the book are when Mani Ratnam takes the conversation forward when describing how some portions of his movies are derived from his own experiences, like the daughter's signing by the bedside in Guru, and what lead to Bombay and the struggles he faced to release the film. Slightly disappointed that the book does not have a chapter on Kadal as promised in the cover, but can not complain.

Awesome book! For people who are ardent Mani Sir's fans this book helps to know the "grammar" of his films better. Some good insights towards what he strives to achieve through his films. Thoroughly enjoyed it. The conversational format gives an authentic feel that you're listening to Mani Sir himself and Rangan delivers what he promises!

If you love the technical side of Movie Making- don't miss it and it is a must have for your collection!
